The Amber Archives: Reliquaire
Reliquaire is built around materials that carry history within them.
At its foundation rests an Indian amber oil aged for approximately fifty years — dense, smooth and profoundly resinous. Labdanum and Gurjun Balsam, merges almost seamlessly into this aged amber, creating a deep concentration of balsamic warmth and dark, honeyed resin.
Oakmoss Absolute and Patchouli cut through this richness with green, earthy woods, introducing shadow, texture and a subtle bitterness. Vanilla softens the composition from within, while Rose creates a delicate floral current that seems to hover above the heavier resins, bringing air and luminosity without disturbing their depth.
But at the heart of Reliquaire lies something rarer still: SQ Attar Al Majmua, a vintage attar from the collection of Sultan Qaboos. Ambered, spicy, woody and touched with Oud, it becomes part of the composition rather than merely an embellishment — an old perfume living within a new one.
The result is an attar that feels almost archaeological in character: layers of amber, labdanum, moss, patchouli, woods, oud and rose unfolding as though preserved through time.
Reliquaire — a vessel for something precious, and a composition created from materials worthy of preservation.
