Heart - Rose, Indian Saffron Absolute, Virginian Cedarwood, Osmanthus Absolute, Pakistani Nagarmotha & Laos Oud.

Base - Mimosa Oless, Japanese Yuzu, Indonesian Vetiver, Osmanthus Absolute & Laos Oud.

I recently discovered an Osmanthus Absolute that left a lasting impression—and continues to do so with every use. Over the years, I’ve experienced several absolutes, but this particular one stands out remarkably. It offers a rich, fruity-floral character underpinned by a deep, leathery undertone. Despite its complexity, it maintains a soft and gentle presence when applied sparingly.

In Osmanthus Chen Xiang, however, the Osmanthus is used generously. To enhance the composition, I intensified it with one of my favourite Ouds—Laos Oud.

Layered with Nagarmotha, Cedarwood, Indian Saffron, Vetiver, Tobacco Absolute, Rose, Yuzu, and Mimosa, the result is a nuanced leather-infused fruity floral. The fragrance is boldly oud-forward, striking a delicate balance between dry and vibrant, fresh and earthy, spicy and sweet. Most importantly, the Laos Oud remains unmistakable—leaving a powerful and memorable impression.

 It’s utterly addictive.
